Our Investigations are held in the Bush Block every Thursday. During these sessions, the children are able to investigate the Bush Block and work on their own projects. The children run, climb, create, build, play games, write, balance, assess risks, cooperate and collaborate during these times.

Mud, mud, glorious mud!
'For our Investigations session today, we headed down to the Bush Block for our weekly visit. It was a cold, rainy day, but that didn’t deter the children’s excitement. The children put on their gumboots and rain jackets and we set off towards the Bush Block. As we walked the rain lightly showered from the sky. Once we arrived in the Bush Block we gathered under the shelter to discuss the boundaries and expectations for today’s visit. Once we had finished our discussion the children set off to investigate. It wasn’t before long when some of the children had made a wonderful discovery! “Mrs Watson, we’ve found mud! Come and see!” Jackson excitedly announced. Sasha's rocks
“Mrs Watson, I’m collecting rocks for my rock collection at home. This one’s shiny like Elsa’s castle. This one is all pretty colours, blue, and orange, yellow. This one is like some sparkly glitter. It feels soft here but not soft here, it’s bumpier. This one has a special thing on it. Maybe it’s a fossil coz someone might have broken it. There’s orange on this rock. It feels soft and bumpy. This is my diamond rock. It is smooth when you feel it. Next is my gold, pretty pink rock. Maybe someone painted it pink. This rock has got broken so now it’s flat. This next one is shiny with some red in it. It’s a bit dirty though so I might need to wash it. This rock is the shape of a love heart. I have 1…2…3…4…5…6…7…8…9…10, 10 rocks. I’m gonna go collect more rocks. I think I’ll need 5 more to finish the circle then I’m gonna make a circle on the inside of this one.
